Karla P McNeill

Karla has been the owner and artistic director of THE DANCE GALLERY since its beginning in 1981 and has been teaching since 1970. She earned a BA Degree in Dance from Texas Tech University and earned the first education certificate issued from Texas Tech to teach dance in the public school systems. She is also certified to teach by Dance Masters of America. Karla has numerous credits, including TV’s “Disco Minute”, directing the Continental Dancers and the training of several dancers and teachers working as far away as Cairo, Egypt. Karla has been on staff with Mike Miller & Associates, producers of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in NYC and continually sends dancers to perform in the nationally televised Parade. She has been active in her church as choreographer for various productions and maintains a Christian environment at The Dance Gallery. Many of Karla’s advanced dancers have been chosen to tour nationally with the “Dance Caravan Kid” program, to perform in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and at Dallas Cowboy halftime shows. Her students perform with dance teams at the high school, collegiate, and professional levels, such as the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders. The Dance Gallery and Karla McNeill have been recognized numerous times for the Lubbock Avalanche Journal as the “Best Dance School” and as the “Best Dance Teacher”.

Doneece

Doneece graduated from Texas Tech University in 2009 with a major in Dance and a minor in Education. She is certified in Dance and Physical Education. Doneece is an adjunct faculty member at the Texas Tech University Dance Department and co-director of Company Dance Gallery and Prep4Pom program. Doneece’s pom students are currently dancing on local high school teams and collegiate teams in Texas.

Haley

Haley graduated from Texas Tech University with a bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Studies. She is currently working on her Masters in Elementary Education. Haley co-directs the performance companies of Starlets and Darlings and has an extensive background in childcare and human development.

Emily S.

Emily S. is currently attending Texas Tech University working towards her Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education. Emily has been dancing for 17 years, teaching for 5 years and is co-director of the nationally award winning Company Dance Gallery.

Cori

Cori is a Dance major at Texas Tech University with a minor in Personal Financial Planning. Cori has been dancing for 17 years and teaching at The Dance Gallery for 5 years. Cori is also co-director of Company Dance Gallery, Competition With Class.

Emily C.

Emily C. is working towards her Bachelor’s degree in Educational Psychology from Texas Tech University with a minor in Dance with a background in physical disability dance education. A dancer for 17 years, teacher for 5 years, Emily also co-directs Starlet and Darling Companies.

Amanda, Sloan, Sabrina, Amanda C. and Brooke

Amanda, Sloan, Sabrina, Amanda C. and Brooke finish out the wonderful faculty at The Dance Gallery. They are students at Texas Tech with various majors from Education, Accounting and Agriculture. The teachers have extensive backgrounds in dance and performing and serve as Support Teachers in the dance classrooms.
